Tahoe Dog Retreat

I can’t recommend Tahoe Dog Retreat enough! I’ve trusted them with my dog for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They offer the kind of personalized dog sitting and boarding care that’s so hard to find. Communication is always easy, and I love getting all the photos and updates while I’m away. My dog is super active, and I love that they take him hiking, swimming, and exploring instead of just doing basic walks. It’s such a refreshing change from large boarding facilities where dogs spend most of their time indoors or in crowded play areas. He always comes home happy and tired in the best way. Tahoe dog retreat was amazing.! Penny loved it and enjoyed her stay.! She went on an Amazing Forrest walk and got plenty of love. I felt comfortable and relieved leaving her with them even more when I received constant photos and updates of how she was doing and how much fun she was having.! I will definitely be using them again when I come into town.! Recommend them to every pet owner who cares about who their pet stays with.!

We have never felt so comfortable leaving our dog Beau with someone, We would get the best photo updates sent through! He is a velcro dog so seeing him be treated like their own and getting lots of snuggles with Alicia was a dream come true. It definitely feels like they treat their pups they care for as their own PLUS you get to see their adventures and wish you were there too!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about their doggy day care. I came to Tahoe to ski with my son and we didn’t wanna hold the puppy company. It was amazing my dog though very safe and loved.! If you ever need a dog figure in your Tahoe, you need to call them!

I cannot say enough good things about Alicia and Matt and their dog retreat! My dog is OBSESSED. They don’t just “board” him — they live life with him. He gets walks, real hikes, actual mental stimulation, and he’s allowed to sleep wherever he’s comfortable — couch, bed, dog pile, sun patch on the floor, wherever! When I pick him up he’s happy, relaxed, and content — and honestly? He doesn’t even want to come home. (Which is both hilarious and the best compliment a dog boarding place can get.) They treat him like family, and it shows. Five stars isn’t enough. This is his home-away-from-home now. I recommend them 1000%.
