Came across The Treat Training on a simple google search, but I couldn’t have been more fortunate to have found them! Jennifer and her team are absolutely fantastic! They’ve done wonders for my rescue dog (he was quirky with his social skills, and a pittie mix which made it very hard to take him to dog parks without someone commenting on his rough edges)! Jennifer’s “play and train” program immediately changed all that in one, single session! Her whole team is the exact support I was looking for, but I got way more support, positive training experience and fun experience than I had hoped for!!!! Absolutely love this team! HIGHLY RECOMMEND them no matter where you are in your journey with your dog!

I am SO glad we found Jennifer. We first met her when we got our puppy and did some basic puppy training and playdates. But then, when our dog hit 1, he became an absolute anxious mess and that was when I really realized how valuable Jennifer was. She met with us, we made a plan, and we have been working with her ever since. Our dog wouldn't go on walks, wouldn't even go outside if there was a hint of noise- a big truck driving by would send him running inside. He couldn't be around other dogs or any person he didn't know without growling or barking. Jennifer has been so committed to helping him. I can’t say enough about Jennifer!!! She has helped us so much. Our pup still has some basic commands to learn and also has some growth areas and she has been amazing helping us with all of that and everything in between. She meets you where you are and devises a plan with your input to help you get where you want to go. She is also most willing to change the plan as needed to address any more pressing training issues that come up. She teaches you the “why” behind all of the methods she uses. She can accomplish an amazing amount in a 30 minute session. She goes above and beyond in being available to help with anything that helps you and your pup. I could continue to list positives all day long. We are so grateful for her!

Not recommended if you are looking for professional one. We reached out to Jennifer because we wanted to get our adopted dog the private training sessions before bringing him into the canine group classes(which he did really well and graduated becoming loved by the trainer), our dog was really nervous around Jennifer from the start. However we decided to go forward anyway because he did calm down since the second session but never really warm up to her much. With three training sessions in, we decided to try the “Walk and train”, not just “House/Drop-in visit” sessions which is went very poorly right from the start. Our dog is a food motivated dog. Jennifer is a wonderful trainer to work with and my husband and I both highly recommend her! The one-on-one sessions provided us weekly opportunities to work on specific things with our puppy. She is extremely knowledgeable and also open to working on skills and tools you are hoping to develop with your dog. We enjoyed our 8-week training and the added bonus of the puppy socials we're able to attend too!
