The Dog Wizard - Dog & Puppy Obedience Training St Johns

I am so grateful to have found the dog wizard, St Johns. A stray wandered onto our property. He was terrified and unapproachable. We felt like we had to save him from the county kill shelter. After he decompressed and trusted us, we decided to see if they could help him be more sociable and leash friendly so he could be adopted someday. Mallory and Mike are amazing. Not only training the dog, but training us to work with him at home. His improvement is above what I expected. I'm so proud of him. We continue at home to reinforce what we've learned to help him become someone's best friend. Thank you Mallory and Mike for helping him be a good boy and more ready for an adoption and for giving us hope to save this precious guy.

Mallory is the sweetest! She was SO patient, caring and invested in our pup, Kirby. She was creative it getting him to understand and comply with the commands. She was just as patient with our family as we learned alongside him too. She and Mike were a dynamic duo in caring for our pup and making us all successful after our official time in training at Dog Wizard. Now we look forward to the Saturday classes so we can keep up with all the success!

Mallory is my trainer and she's been amazing. Not only is she so good at her job, she's also patient and really listens to my concerns and challenges through the training process. I have a wild child pup and she's talked me off the ledge many times! She's helping me build my confidence and stick this out. I recommend Dog Wizard 100%, they always promptly respond to and questions and offer so much support. First class place!!!

If I could give 20 STARS, I would. We had many problems before training--Excessive Barking, Separation Anxiety, Reactivity to other dogs and humans, Aggression toward other dog in the home daily, Resource guarding with food, toys, and some furniture. BUT Chuy has a new lease on life and he is so confident in himself these days!!! He can finally relax at home, he knows the expectations and routine, so he is much more settled than before. He is no longer excessively barking and his reactivity to other dogs/humans in public is minimal—only requiring a small redirection infrequently. He has been able to greet other humans on our walks and allows them to pet him. He no longer targets the other dog in the home. He has also started to play with his toys again. He is not resource guarding toys or

The Dog Wizard of St. John’s have been instrumental in helping me to train and implement a regular routine at home for my dog. A routine that allows me to work from home. I can’t always play with my puppy (even if I want to all day long). Having a routine is very important to my daily schedule. I can work in peace and quiet from home without having to constantly “watch” her. She is near me and content to self entertain, self sooth and she is not in a cage or play pen. Plus no potty accident after 5 days of training. People always ask me how old Willow is and are amazed that a 17 week old Australian Shepard is so well behaved.
