Spruce Veterinary Urgent Care

I called my vet to schedule a wellness drop-off, but they were fully booked until next week. My dog had an ear infection that was causing him a lot of distress and discomfort, so I needed care sooner. Appointments can be made online, but they also allow you to call one hour before opening to check for availability. I spoke with the receptionist, Krystal, who was incredibly friendly, patient, and compassionate while I was an emotional and stressed dog mom. Her kindness truly meant a lot in that moment. My pup was not eating or drinking and throwing up while we were away at the coast. I called Spruce and the team immediately got me an appointment for the next day, did some intake over the phone and made everything so seamless. When I arrived they let me know it could be a little wait (which I knew ahead of time) and we were let into a room where my dog reactive pup could just hang out in til the doctor could see us. We were seen quickly and given a plan of action. Dr. Burger and tech CAs were both so great and knowledgeable. I’m so grateful they’re in the area and would bring my dog back again in a heartbeat. He’s now on the mend and doing great!

My dog was vomiting and wouldn’t eat, so I needed a same-day Saturday appointment and was really worried. My vet had recommended Spruce as a Fear Free clinic for my reactive dog, and I’m so glad I went. Scheduling online was easy, and when we arrived, Jessica L was amazing. she had us use a side entrance and go straight to a room to avoid other dogs. Dr. Phelps was wonderful. She took her time explaining everything, answered all my questions, and even provided surgeon recommendations for some ongoing health concerns. I never felt rushed. Alexa was also incredibly gentle while giving fluids and medication. The clinic is clean, welcoming, and fairly priced for urgent care. I hope we don’t need urgent care again, but if we do, this is the only place I’ll go.

I'm so glad we have a resource for urgent pet care on the west side! Spruce was exactly what I needed when my pup was experiencing non-emergency health concerns during the weekend. Dr. Burger and her team were wonderful and kind and the facility is very nice and calm. While I hope we don't have a need to return, I wouldn't hesitate to come back and I'll be recommending them to other pet owners!

I have never been so happy with an urgent care's treatment of my dog and myself. My dog had been dealing with pretty intense ear irritation and paw inflammation and my usual vet couldn't see her for weeks so I called Spruce and they saw her right away. They didn't act like they were in a rush to grt the exam done, and they let my dog approach them before doing anything with her, which all together made my usually very nervous dog feel safe. I've never once seen my dog seem genuinely comfortable at a vet or being examined and I couldn't be happier. I also got more answers about what was going on with her in one appointment than I have with multiple appointments elsewhere. I left here feeling confident in what was going on with her and what to do next. Incredible service and care!
