Smitten Kitten

I've been using Smitten Kitten since I moved to Iowa in 2018. I've used both locations and have had nothing but the best experience every time! I have 3 long haired cats, and I take them every 3-4 months to get lion cuts. One of my cats is very sassy and even on the days that she is being non compliant, they are able to pull through and get it done. The workers are super friendly and you can tell they are so passionate about their jobs. They love cats! The store is always super clean and I enjoy getting to pet and play with the foster kitties while I'm waiting for my cats to be brought out to me. I'll never take my cats anywhere else. Smitten Kitten is the best cat grooming shop I've ever been to.

Love this place. Take our daughters cat there to be groomed and do a wonderful job. TJ Gets a Teddy Bear cut and cap the toe nails so he doesn’t claw the furniture , but can still use the scratch pad. He is never sore. They have quality cat food at very reasonable prices.

I dropped off my cat at noon to get a teddy bear cut. I asked how long it would take. Told 3 hours. They asked if she had any hair mat, I told them yes under chin and by left ear. I was there a little before 3. Told them I was here pick up my cat. 2 others walked after me wanting to get her cats toenail clipped. The groomer O took her cat and proceeded to clip toenails. Didn't take very long, but I was there 1st. She went back to get my cat (she was in her carrier) which didn't know upon my arrival. O put her on the counter and said rudely you need to sadate her next because she bit me. She also peed and pooped on herself and wouldn't let me give her another bath, so she's going to stink. She said she didn't her haircut finished. She didn't even get the mats out. I was very mad and upset.

Our cat is very temperamental and does not let us groom him like he needs! I’m sure he’s the same with the Smitten Kitten staff. We are always so pleased and impressed when we get our guy back. Not only is his groom always really good, we really feel great knowing we don’t have to put him under just to get shaved like only some vets will do. We really appreciate this awesome service, and will continue to come back as long as they accept his grumpiness 😃

I can't imagine having a Persian cat without Smitten Kitten. They help me keep her on a high quality diet and on a regular grooming schedule. I recommend Smitten Kitten to every cat owner I know because they have the best of everything you could ever need. (Pic: Moira with a fresh teddy bear cut)
