Skye's Dog Training

Skye's training and knowledge has been so beneficial in our training. Oliver recently turned one and because of her, we're able to go almost anywhere together. He's so well behaved for a young guy!

In even just a few sessions, Skye has helped me transform my relationship with my pup. I have struggled for so long to manage my dog’s fear response and subsequent struggle to go on a walk without being paralyzed with fear. Skye is kind, a great communicator, and every session I walk away with skills I can practice and scale up or down based on my pup’s threshold that day. I looked around for a long time for a good training program and this place is the real deal! I had to find out from Reddit about Skye, so I hope leaving this review brings her more well deserved exposure. Finally just this morning both my dog and I were able to stop and smell the roses, even with some big distractions around.

I have really enjoyed working with Skye! She is a great trainer with a lot of experience and you can tell she loves training. She has helped so much in getting my puppy trained since I got her and the training has really stuck. The facility is clean and I enjoy the small class sizes and affordability. I have now taken two dogs to Skye for training, and I've had an incredible experience with her! With my first dog, a terrier named Chip, I was with Skye from the beginning of his training journey. We started in the beginner class and made our way through five different group classes total. She was very attentive and did great explaining everything in a way that I could easily understand as a first-time puppy owner. Chip excelled in her classes for the time we were with her and passed her public access class to become a trained service dog. Every challenge I had, she had a solution to. We recommend Skye without hesitation. Have you ever heard that frenchies ears are for decoration only? My frenchie group is always shocked to see how Hippo behaves. We couldn’t imagine my son living independently when we first started training but he is living with a roommate now and living successfully with help and Hippo. Hippo is 6 now and has consistently shown how service dog work can help a person with a disability. We love Skye’s gentle training and learning as humans how to connect with our dog and how to continue training was invaluable. We have friends who got a trained dog from other programs but then they didn’t have the skills or connection to continue and all that work was lost.
