Skaneateles Dogs

We were extremely pleased with the grooming service. Our dog had never been to a professional groomer and we were worried he would be difficult to groom, but when we picked him up, he looked terrific and clearly had had a positive experience. We got right in and the website is super easy to book appointments.

John and team are the best - excellent service and value, and super easy to work with. A side benefit has been John's patience and willingness to work with our animals on grooming and socialization. Our golden doodle absolutely loves this place!

We just had our rescue, Copper, groomed at Skaneateles Dogs for the first time. I can’t say enough wonderful things about John and his team. They went above and beyond getting to know Copper and allowed him to adjust. The patience and care they took went above and beyond expectation. It has been 2 weeks since our visit and Copper still smells great! Looking forward to our next appointment in a few weeks. Highly recommended for top quality care for your best friend!

It was our first time at Skaneatelas Dogs and we had a very positive experience. Our nervous Old English Sheepdog, Fergus, met John beforehand and sniffed around so he was a bit familiar when we returned for grooming. Caitlin did a fantastic job on shaping his fur and giving him a comfortable summer cut without losing the Old English Sheepdog look. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

I cannot recommend Skaneateles Dogs enough! They groom my senior dog, Java, and they are so incredibly patient and gentle with him. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking finding a groomer for an older dog, but the team here treats him like family. Java always comes home looking handsome and, more importantly, he’s never stressed. Five stars!
