Aristocats & Dogs

This is a must stop for pet owners when visiting Skaneateles. The store itself is fine, with a nice selection of products - but the reason is to meet and speak with the staff. The people there are incredibly nice, and the owner is like the grandpa everyone wants. Incredibly kind, asks about your pets with genuine interest, and just an incredibly warm presence. It's also like stepping back in time. Handwriting and adding totals and record keeping. It's a throw back to a slower pace of life we all need sometimes.

this shop is lovely! awesome selection of toys. bought my cats a wand toy and its the most durable one i’ve ever found, my boys love it. the gentleman that checked us out was very kind and pleasant to speak with :)

It is always a pleasure shopping here for my dogs and cats. The staff, often the owners themselves, are very friendly and helpful. They carry high quality food and treats and lots of dog supplies, like leashes, harnesses, and a great selection of toys. When I'm walking my dogs downtown, they know when we are getting close to Aristocats and can hardly contain their excitement to go inside!

Went there over the summer without our pup and the owners were so welcoming that we knew we wanted to come back and bring our dog. We came back this winter to get our dog a coat. He immediately was given a treat and the woman working helped us find a perfect coat for him. He was hyper and nervous and she was very patient with him. It’s really a quaint place and the owners are very sweet.

I really like Dave’s classical styled shop right off of the Main Street. The arched shelter going into his entrance is unique as well as the brickwork inside the store. He is always playing classical music which is a big + to me as it is calming and let’s me focus on why I’m there. The owner has his items organized quite well for the amount of space he has, and you don’t need to holler or search for him if you need help.
