Shared Journeys Dog Training

After struggling on our own with our 4 1/2 year old poodle, we decided to call in Mary for an in-home dog refresher course. Our dog had bad habits such as jumping, demand barking and pulling on a leash. She also helped with our 10 year old dog. Mary was able to quickly assess changes we could do to make big improvements quickly. She was an attentive listener, strong teacher and practical coach. She gave us the guidance and support we needed to continue on our own. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing dog training. Don’t wait like we did! The improvements gave us a better quality of life with our pets.

We adopted two labs from a rescue that came with severe reactivity issues that made it very difficult to take them for walks and they really needed exercise because they are obese. Mary’s training gave us the ability to walk them safely after only two sessions! She is so knowledgeable and so experienced and we are so grateful to her. She’s the best!

We found Mary when we were looking to get our 5 month old golden puppy Chance acclimated at home with our 10 year old golden. After two trips to the vet ER we were desperate to find a resolution and we can definitely say Mary quickly helped us not only navigate through the challenges but also provide us with the knowledge that we were lacking in order to get the two dogs accustomed to each other and actually able to enjoy being around each other. Mary helped us understand how our older dog perceived certain things and what was causing certain reactions. As our 1year old lab got bigger and stronger, we found it difficult to manage some troublesome behaviors. Mary is a wonderful educator who explains the hows and whys of training. She demonstrated and then had my family take turns to lead our dog. We can now walk our pup on a leash with ease, we’ve stopped the jumping and have a dog that is ready to listen to commands. Mary is amazing! The confidence that she gave my 1.5yo shelter rescue pit bull and myself is incredible! My dog has really come out of her shell since we started. My family and I could not be happier with the results. Mary makes herself available for questions as often as you need. We have videos saved for reference and a folder full of notes/tips/tricks.
