Days End—where do I even begin? Absolutely AMAZING. Today, my company and two of our closest colleagues had the opportunity to travel together and tour the farm, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Days End opens its doors to the public in such a meaningful way, offering facility tours, educational experiences, internships, volunteer opportunities, and so much more. Their commitment to transparency, education, and horse welfare is inspiring. Our tour guide, Maureen, was incredibly informative and treated us with the utmost respect. This is a fantastic place to volunteer. They train you well and then put you to work feeding and grooming the horses. You also clean up stalls and paddocks for horses, mini- horses, goats and sheep. Can’t recommend highly enough. You can also lead tours, volunteer for the open house and more!

We love volunteering with DEFHR!! The staff is amazing and so dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating horses that have been neglected and abused. They save so many animals and are passionate about educating the community as well as passing legislation that protects animals.

This place is great. They are so organized, have a great volunteer program, genuinely care for their horses, and have such a great adoption organ! 10 out of 10 recommend!!!
