Scout Veterinary Urgent Care - Old Orchard

I couldn’t say enough good things about Scout. From the warm, smiling reception to the attentive and thorough care, my experience here was truly amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to make a genuine connection with both me and my cat, Spider. We brought her in after taking her in as a stray about four weeks ago. Her belly was becoming bloated, and we were worried she might have worms. Instead, the team at Scout immediately and confidently recognized that she was pregnant. They were incredibly kind, gentle, and sweet with her, and took so much time to explain what was happening, how to care for her properly, what to expect moving forward, and how to watch out for her overall well being. I work at a veterinarian office and we have long referred to Scout for urgent care, but I’ve never been before. My cat needed X-rays and fluids on a Sunday and couldn’t wait. So off we went to Scout. My cat is incredibly opinionated and spicy at the vet, and they handled him so well. From the moment the receptionist greeted me at the door to open it to the moment I left they were lovely. I appreciate that they have appointments so I was able to go straight to a room. It was so quiet there! Which is wonderful for the scared kitties (and dogs?). I heard a few dogs as they walked past my exam room but no lobby full of barking dogs! Will absolutely continue to refer to them and have already let a few friends with nervous animals know about them.

Everyone at Scout emergency care was very kind and wonderful. They answered all of our questions and our dog Frankie loved them.

I brought my cat Speck, to Scout for a cold. I had so much anxiety and worry walking in the door, since it was my first visit with Scout. From the minute I walked in, the staff not only completely eased my Cat Mom fears, but understood them. The front desk staff put us in the room & explained we would be seen shortly, as she was walking out, she asked if I had any questions. About 5min later the vet tech walked in and was so sweet, her demeanor was attentive, compassionate & just genuinely kind. She asked a series of questions and actually listened. They brought Speck in the back to see the vet (which I was so grateful for because seeing the exam would of been very traumatic) A short time later the tech and the Dr came back to the room and covered everything in such a detailed manner. I cannot say enough good things about SCOUT Urgent Care. My regular vet recommended them when they didn’t have any appointments available. Oreo’s situation wasn’t a full emergency, but it was something that needed to be addressed before it became one. I had no idea urgent care clinics for pets even existed, and I’m so grateful my vet told me about this place. From the moment we walked in, the experience was wonderful. The receptionist was kind and welcoming, Britt, the vet tech who did Oreo’s intake, was amazing, and Dr. Simpson took such great care of him. I felt listened to, supported, and reassured throughout the entire visit. The space itself is modern, warm, and inviting. The waiting area honestly made me smile, funny books neatly stacked (I was this close to checking if they were r
