If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I scheduled a grooming appointment for my 5-pound Yorkie on Monday, December 15th at 10:00 a.m. That morning, they canceled my appointment after I had already taken time off work. They rescheduled me for the following day, Tuesday, which required me to take yet another day off. When I arrived for the rescheduled appointment, only one employee was working and told me it would be a few minutes before they could check me in. That was fine. Another employee then came in, went behind the desk, and immediately gave off the impression that she didn’t want to be there. Had a $15 coupon and loaded up on doggie treats of all kinds. The store was clean and well stocked. The cashier was friendly and helpful.

Grooming at the Skokie location is under new management as of approx October 2024. We groom our labradoodle monthly and have done so with the new manager for well over a year (at her former location and 2 times at the Skokie location). She always bathes, brushes him out and cuts his hair and nails to our specifications (the upgraded service). Our dog is always happy to see her. No matter what grooming salon you go to You should always specify exactly what cut (if any) and details you want. Having used numerous groomers at various places (big box and private), always call ahead to any new groomer and make sure at least one of their groomers is familiar with your dog’s breed and the cut you want. This is true everywhere.

DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE! The guy who worked on my dog had no idea how to groom a dog and made no attempt to brush him out! In 12 years I have had many grooming sessions and this is unbelievable! To take a dog to his flesh in Chicago in February is unbelievable! Pictures don’t lie!
