Adopted a dog named Oscar from the shelter. Absolutely so thankful for the help from the staff at the shelter and for their time helping us find our dog. These people have no compassion for stray animals. They pretty much told me I should have left the dog on the side of the road to die because they would not take it. But if I lefted it with them, I would get in trouble. They need to do better or at least held to a higher standard of care.

PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT:: I went in to get a dog, he was amazing I loved him to death, spent $165, $65 for the dog-$100 for shots and neuter. They said they’ll call me to schedule an appointment and all is fine. 3 months come by and I have to check my dog into daycare for a week due to a sudden move. I am unable to due to my dog STILL not having shots nor fixed, despite already paying and having him for 3 months. I go back to the shelter to let them know about the situation, the lady at the front desk said that there was nothing they can do since they don’t “have direct contact with those who do the procedures”. I’m already very stressed because I loved my dog so I asked if there was a way to refund the $100 so I can get that service somewhere else quicker, especially since I nev

Disgusting service that I am posting high taxes for. They never pick up the phone, them when they do, they tell you that it's city depending on where you are in Griffin, then they route you to another facility that is equally useless. They either don't come when called, or come an hour later, when the dogs and cats are already in another neighborhood on the other side of town! There's a ridiculous amount of stray animals in Griffin, and if they don't do something soon, I'll be going up the chain of command to have a full investigation launched. I don't bluff, I take action.

A large pit bull with no collar or leash has been roaming around the neighborhood on Hallmark Hills Drive for at least 2 months. It usually can be seen around 9am & 2pm on my camera POOPING IN MY YARD! I've called the animal control service several times and nothing has been done as of yet.
