Santa Rosa County Animal Services

We found this sweet boy running around in our neighborhood. I posted him on Facebook and Pawboost but didn't hear anything. I called Santa Rosa Animal Services and they came and got him. I wish that we could have kept him. He's such a beautiful sweet boy. Everyone at Santa Rosa County Animal Services was so nice! I could tell that they have a true compassion for taking care of these precious animals. They assured me that he would not be put down. Thanks so much for what you do for our community!

Went in to adopt a specific puppy, the front desk staff were helpful to try to make sure I could see the puppy I was interested in. The start to finish process was very smooth and I was not aware but they do a benefit for veterans which is amazing. Highly recommend if you want to adopt come here :)

I just adopted a new kitten at the Santa Rosa County Animal Services. I think this place is amazing! Everyone was so kind and even though it took me four trips to the shelter to find my kitten I was very pleased with all the staff's willingness to help me find just the right one. The adoption fee for kittens is only $10.00 which is quite a bargain. My new kitten had already had the appropriate shots, as well as being neutered and microchipped. He's such a wonderful addition to our household and I cannot thank Animal Services enough for the great work they do.

Extremely RUDE employees. After not being helped in the front office by the receptionist , a girl who was extremely kind with pink hair came around the corner and guided us to where the adoptable dogs were. She took us inside and said these are the other available dogs then walked off. My friend and I were looking at a dog when another worker came up and very rudely asked “are you volunteering, why are you back here” “this is employees only” after telling her another employee is the one who took us back here she continued to act like we were up to something bad and asked “well where is she?”. My friend and I left. With the intent to give a dog a real home we left instead because of your rude employees.

This has one of the most helpful shelters I’ve ever been too. The first week of June, I found 4 baby kittens under the hood of my car (probably around 1 week old). I called multiple rescues and they were all full and unable to help. I ended up calling animal control and they advised my husband and I to take them to the shelter. The shelter was full as well, however they informed me of their foster program. They provided me with supplies to care for these babies, like kitten milk, a scale, kitten food, blankets, litter, etc. They also gave me advice on how to catch the mom cat, which was a life saver. I caught the mom and she was able to nurse the babies for a few weeks. During the entire process, the shelter provided medical attention to the feral mom and her kittens (at no charge to my hu
