Ruff Luxury Inn

I was really excited to try this place for dog grooming. The reviews were great, the staff was super nice when I called, they answered all of my questions before I made the decision to switch groomers. The main reason I was switching from my previous groomer was due to the time it took to groom my senior dog. She was training people to build her business and I didn’t want him there more than 2+ hours. It was taking 4-5hours to groom my 15lb senior dog and bath/blowout for my lab. She had previously been quicker <3hours and I understood why it was taking longer. She was 20 mins away, Ruff Luxury is an hour drive for me. Our boy Ryker LOVES going to doggy daycare here!! He’s very excited every time we pull into the parking lot because he knows he’s going to have the best day ever. We could not have chosen a better place for our pup to make friends. We’ve already noticed such a huge difference at home with his separation anxiety, and it’s been a huge improvement since he started going regularly to Ruff! Thank you to the staff for loving my baby as much as I do. (And for making him very sleepy every time he comes home!)

We take our dogs there for grooming every 6ish weeks and its the only place we board them when we go anywhere. The staff is absolutely amazing, they treat your dogs like their own. When you board, they try to make the dogs stay as comfy and fun as possible. You can call for updates and they will also call you if there is a problem. Absolutely recommend Ruff inn, Valparaiso, for grooming and boarding

They're all so very friendly. The price falls in line with most others in the area. I've boarded my sweet pup twice with them and I don't plan on going elsewhere. I love that they post photos of your pup on Facebook so you can check in on them. They even celebrated my pup's birthday when I couldn't. They send your pet home with a report card to know how they did. Great place, really!!

During a visit to the facility, I observed that rooms were only lightly cleaned between dogs, indoor temperatures were very warm during the summer, and dogs were frequently barking and whining for extended periods. I also saw what appeared to be rough handling when animals were uncooperative. At times, I overheard employees expressing biases toward certain dogs, which seemed to influence how much play and interaction time they received. When dogs didn’t cooperate, it appeared they were treated more as a burden than as animals needing care. Based on these observations, I personally would not feel comfortable bringing my dog here.
