I will start by saying that the country club, and 4 stars dogs are so nicely ran and have the highest cleanliness for the dogs I have ever seen. With that being said, this is the worst dog place I have ever seen.. I don’t even know where to begin. The kennels are so dirty here from lack of employees caring, the outside areas are never scooped as there is so much poop outside, due to laziness. The dogs are left alone in the kennel all night, never to be checked on. When in fact the owner lives in the house next door, so I’m not sure why she doesn’t come and let dogs out and check on them. When employees open up in the morning they come into tons and tons of messes because the dogs can’t hold themselves. They have also left dogs outside by mistake and they were outside all night. Please consider my advice and do not use this facility if you are boarding your elderly, or medically complicated animal. We had to put our dog down hours after picking him up from our 10 day vacation. We received no call and what appears to be an inaccurate report when I called to check on him. They stated he was doing well and did not appear to be in pain/distress (he had arthritis). But when I picked him up, his pain medications were gone (showing me he WAS in pain), he was extremely fatigued and struggling to breath. Apparently he was having issues with his heart which obviously is not their fault, however, I cannot wrap my head around how nobody noticed my boy deteriorating so badly. It was a complete 180 and I should have been notified

I can’t say enough great things about Royal Acres!! Our dog, Charlie, comes here twice a week!! Charlie loves EVERYTHING in life, but he loves daycare the most we think! He looooooves to see his dog friends and human friends! They take such great care of our boy & all of the other dogs here. We are so grateful to have found this special place right here in Valpo! If you’re thinking about doing it…here’s your sign :)

I really can’t say enough good things about this place. We board our dog here and get him groomed here as well. Our dog loves going here. He’s so happy and tired which is very hard to do when he comes back. The staff is amazing so nice. We are first time dog owners they take the time to explain things to us. The facility is amazing dogs have their own little yard attached to their kennels to go out as they please. He smells like heaven after they groom him. And today when he came back he got a little Christmas bag of treats and a toy! We love you guys thanks for always taking care of our pup. Highly recommended.
