Scott, and Rockin Robin, we’re absolutely amazing. We brought our 8 month GSP there and from the very first moment Scott’s energy was very calming and dominant for our dog Bo. Over the course of the month, Scott sent weekly updates about Bo and how he was doing, along with some great photos and videos. Additionally, I was following along on their Facebook page so I would periodically get updates from the Facebook as well. Scott prepared us for what to expect when we picked Bo up- that we would need to plan about an hour so Scott could teach us how to continue Bo’s training. Bo is now a completely different dog- he’s still high energy but he has the capacity to listen and calm down, and we have the tools to interact with him in a meaningful, but still dominate, way. My father bought an English Setter last year in Eastern North Carolina. We struggled to find the right trainer until we came across Scott Keown and Rockin Robin. First, we had the privilege of hunting with him and getting to know his style and his dogs. We immediately recognized his calm demeanor and patient nature with the dogs. My father decided to send his English Setter to work with Scott and after only a few short months, May has come home proficient in pointing, steady to wing and shot. Scott was not only eager to show us May's progress when we arrived but also sent weekly texts and pictures to keep us in the loop. Fantastic experience with Rockin Robin. Our English Cocker Spaniel, Otto, was full of energy and had a long ways to go when we dropped him off with Scott. We received weekly updates and pictures during his training. Otto made unbelievable progress and has been a delight to bring back home. At pickup, Scott spent plenty of time teaching our family how to continue training at home. Scott has a positive demeanor and it is evident that he truly enjoys training. I have know scott for over 15 years. I have traveled west hunting with him and observed him working with clients dogs. When I got a Wire-haired Pointing Griffon I knew who i was going to use to train him. I admit my family was not on board with sending their couch potato puppy off. All were pleasantly surprised as he returned trained and still the same pup they all loved. When I took family members hunting behind Hank they were blown away by his performance. I got exactly what i was looking for- an obedient house companion that is a close hunting dog for a foot hunter on the weekends. I was so pleased that I have a new puppy that's on his way to Scott soon! PDD
