Lovable Paws Rescue and Sanctuary

I got pre-approved for a specific dog before going there, but had a back-up in case my first choice was no longer available. I was able to spend time with the dog I wanted, and they were very helpful with information on her. The whole process was easy and I brought my new dog home. We are so happy to have her!

I went to Lovable Paws earlier this year when I saw a post that they needed volunteers. I knew the moment I stepped in this place was special. There is a pack of sanctuary dogs that greet you when you come in! So many of these dogs waiting for homes were once strays that now have meals water and a place to feel safe. One word to describe all the dogs in Steve's care: grateful. Steve does a great job making sure the fit is just right between the dog and potential adopter. If anyone is interested in volunteering they can always use an extra set of hands! Highly recommend finding your forever friends at Lovable Paws!

We adopted Lacey in December and it was a great experience. They love and care for the dogs and make the adoption a smooth process. Would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a fur baby.

I called about Gino, a dog I wanted to purchase for my father. The guy on the phone was rude and said no we won't be open this weekend, don't you know there is a storm/hurricane coming. I thought ok its Friday, storm will be on Tuesday but I get it they have a lot to do. Now I text back about Gino and they say he will be here for a visit but not ready to leave... i text back.I dont understand, is he adoptable? I'm 2 hours away. This is what i get in return. Not sure what there is to not understand, he is available to visit with,but he needs to go to the vet to be fixed. So yes, he is adoptable, but cannot leave until he is fixed. I said, am I a mind reader, keep your dog you are the rudest person I've ever delt with.

Literally the worst experience. They posted dog with the saddest story. I inquired about the dog and was extremely interested. They said they were giving him a dewormer as he had worms. I offered to donate towards the dogs care and even asked if I could come meet him in the meantime. My family and I had lost our dog weeks back and wanted another rescue to take care of. The owner then said “look we have other dogs available also. We don’t know what’s going on with his health etc. one day people want a dog from us and the next they don’t so if you’re interested you’re just gunna have to wait and that’s how I’m treating this.” I told them I was interested but didn’t need their attitude. Almost 2 weeks later I messaged back saying “hey how’s that puppy doing?” Just checking in and their respo
