Jasper County Animal Services

I got a Dog from them almost a year now. Looking for another one. People theses places need are help if you are able to help them. These’s POOR DOGS didn’t ask for this kind of life. I have always wanted to open up my own ranch just for dogs if I could afford it I’d have over 100 acres and I would take every dog. There is out there. They don’t ask for this. You know what kills me about it all as other people treat them like shit and they’re still willing to be loyal, honest and loving to us. Ask yourself this question if somebody treated you like that would you be able to turn around and go back they don’t ask for this. It ain’t right if you can help out please do. I’m just getting back to work after 3 1/2 years of a bad accident, but I’m gonna find out what I can do still.

Recently taken over by a new board, the changes in JARM have been life altering for these poor, defenseless animals from what most of us can see in the community . The staff now, is no doubt dedicating their lives to these animals and their safety and well being. Like most shelters, their goals are to make sure there are no more unwanted animals in Jasper county. They offer a $55 spay option vs a $200 ( fee) option to take the unaltered dogs back to reproduce more unwanted animals. Losing an unaltered dog or cat for multiple days is irresponsible regardless of the reason. They seem to have a great selection of dogs and some purebreds. They appear to be at full capacity so adoption from this shelter will open up a spot to a new animal in need.

The staff at JARM really went above and beyond to make sure I was adopting the right dog for me, and I could not be more grateful to them for helping me find my girl!

I found an abandoned dog and brought him here to JARM. They were very nice. The best experience I've had there in years. It was also a lot cleaner. I left there confident he would be taken care of.

Love the work this facility and program does. Big Hearts and they truly care about their animals. Will say though, the woman who answered the phone at the rescue was very agitated sounding and made me uncomfortable. She said I was very rude because I simply did not understand the Facebook page for Jasper J wasn’t being monitored by the actually Jasper J animal rescue . So therefore I questioned why she didn’t know what puppies I was talking about since they were recently featured. I guess because it seemed like I questioned her knowledge about what dogs they have available? I don’t know. I wasn’t being rude at all. Just confused. Doesn’t really make me feel comfortable adopting from a rescue where a woman within the first 30 seconds of a phone call is calling me rude. Not a good look. I e
