Customer Reviews
I went to pick up an order at this PetSmart location. The employee at the register was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. After directing me to a frozen item I couldn't find, she refused to come and assist me, insisting it 'had to be there, even though there were no other customers. Her dismissive attitude and refusal to help seemed discriminatory and was clearly based on my race/color. This is unacceptable behavior for a customer service representative. The employee needs training on basic courtesy and professional conduct.
We had such an amazing time at the trick-or-treating event this past weekend! My son, our two puppies, and I arrived right when it opened, and everything was already perfectly set up and organized. You could really tell how much time and effort went into planning it showed in every detail. Everyone was so friendly, and it felt like the organizers were enjoying it just as much as we were. Thank you for such a fun and memorable experience! 🎃👻🐾
Our Boxer/St. Bernard mix Hooch had a grooming appointment on May 6, 2025 with Meg. He had been getting up in years (he was a rescue and we believe he was 13-14 years old) and had been having trouble breathing when overstimulated or when he was over exerted. Meg was aware of this, so when he was having trouble, she called me immediately. She let me know he had thrown up and his breathing was labored. My son and I went back to get him, but before we could leave, he started throwing up again and collapsed. We were very upset, in shock and unsure what to do. The manager, Alex immediately noticed what was happening and helped to calm us and Hooch. She offered to call the mobile vet, but they were not available. She helped me locate an emergency vet and brought a pallet cart over to load Hooch
I am leaving this review after a very disappointing experience at the Joliet location. I usually go to the Chicago store where the staff is kind and professional, but this visit was completely different. The manager, Madison C., was rude and unprofessional. Every previous groomer has told me my puppy behaves very well, especially for his breed — and let me repeat, he is a puppy. Groomers should have patience when working with young dogs. They returned Coco still wet, and we had to finish drying him at home in the cold Chicago weather. Afterward, he started sneezing, and now only three days after his bath he has a strong damp “wet dog” smell, as if he was not properly dried. When I called, I was told my puppy tried to bite her, but in person the story changed to him hitting her in the face,
I am extremely disappointed with the grooming service at the PetSmart location. Our puppy has been groomed multiple times before without any issues and is always described as well-behaved, especially for his breed. However, this visit was completely different. He was returned to us still damp, and we had to finish drying him at home. Within days, he developed a strong wet dog odor, which raises concerns about whether the service was properly completed. When we asked for clarification, we were given inconsistent explanations about his behavior, which did not align with our previous experiences. It also seemed that the situation changed after we declined an additional recommended add-on service. What is most concerning is the lack of accountability and the refusal to issue a refund. We expec
