PetSmart

PetSmart is a great pet store overall. They have a wide selection of products for all kinds of pets, and the employees are friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. I also really love that you can adopt a pet here, which is a huge plus and something I really appreciate. The only reason I’m taking off one star is because a lot of their cat toys are not very safe. Not all of them, but many are poorly made with feathers or fuzzy materials that come off easily and could be swallowed by a cat. My advice would be to test anything that is fuzzy or has feathers. Pull on it a little and see if pieces come loose before letting your cat play with it. Other than that, it is a great pet store and I will definitely keep shopping here.

Large selection, clean and tidy. The employees are attentive and polite. They are all very willing to listen and learn about the animals and take advice from people who frequent pet stores for supplies. If you have concerns, they will listen. If you don't find what you are looking for, they are even willing to see if they can get it for you. My only negative thing is that while the employees are willing learn and theyre not completely ignorant, they are not specialists so they cant answer a lot of questions people may have. I think its important that someone tasked with caring for, purchasing, and selling living things should know about them. If you're a reptile owner don't even waste your time coming here for your pets' needs. I came in for some large mealworms (superworms) and the girl who helped me had to get them out of the back, the first time she brought the wrong thing, the second time she handed me a 50ct container and said she told the girl at the register to give me an extra 50% off. Before I walked away I looked at the worms and there were MAYBE 10 that were alive in the entire container. I then went to the register to give them to the cashier, as I didn't want to just set them down somewhere random in the store. The cashier was rude and off-putting. If you want to stay in business you've gotta do better. I'll definitely be spreading the word to all my pet owner friends to NOT shop here and avoid PetSmart at all cost

First time visit, the staff was not very friendly and acted as if I did not know what I was talking about with my fish tank. Well, I've been keeping a tanks for 30 years, I know what I'm doing. So, they lost my business and I went back to Old Faithful PetCo.

They called and canceled our appointment last minute- apparently they only have one groomer who isn’t reliable. Didn’t even offer to reschedule at first just called to cancel 3 hours before our appointment- without compensation. Will not be booking again.
