PetSmart

We brought our almost 17-year-old dog in for a visit yesterday. It was too hot to walk outside and we wanted to do something special with her before we brought her to the vet to help her cross over the rainbow bridge. My daughter was understandably emotional. The employees went out of their way to give our dog love and attention which our dog really enjoyed and meant a lot to us. Thank you for taking time to do that.

I thoroughly liked Pet Smart and their grooming operation. I set up my Golden Retriever for a bath, haircut, and nail polishing, and I believe they did a great job and were finished with everything in only a little over two hours. The pricing was a little high but probably reasonable, and this was my first time so still learning the pricing. Parking was ample and easy. Customer service was fantastic. I highly recommend the Ankeny location of Walmart and will be back.

I know they have been short staffed but the reptile section just needs love. Ive found multiple fish dead that stay in display and they almost never have good wax worms. When they do get quality wax worms they are bought out quickly for a reason. Then I go in today for crickets and I am charged for 15 only to get 10- maybe 11. Totally understand its only a few dollars but it was still a few dollars.

They were very unprofessional and judgemental towards my 3 and 5 year old children wanting their first fish. We bought a tank that THEIR employee suggested and came back a day later for the fish THEY suggested for said tank and a different employee refused to sell us 2 mini goldfish. Their manager even told us we ONLY sell for long term. Id be embarrassed as a family company refusing a caring family the sale of $0.29 fish.

I took our Cavachon into the grooming salon today and when I went to pick her up, I left in tears. Her groomer, Savannah, completely shaved her. She did ask us if she was matted if she could TRIM her up, which we agreed too. What we got was not a TRIM! I called back to speak to the manager, Kristi. She stated that: There was nothing they could do to make it better, I mean, we can't put the hair back! I am so upset with the service and the follow up. I will NEVER bring my dogs back there!
