Do not bring your dog to this Petco. called to say his face was bleeding from the “kennel” supposedly , then refused to finish the groom and said he’s not allowed back like oh no…that’s so heartbreaking lol. They shaved his body to the skin and left his entire head untouched. The audacity 😭. My poor baby isn’t allowed in public for a month. Embarrassing. $100 haircut…stylist : Ashley.

Jayden was very helpful and kind to us while our daughter was buying her first fish. She was very knowledgeable and took her time with us. She was excellent and went above and beyond for us. We will definitely be coming here for all of our pet supplies.

Cashier was very nice - showed us where the product was located and was in a pleasant mood. We just moved to Virginia 2 weeks ago and have, unfortunately, encountered many rude cashiers. We traveled from California, and have to do lots of shopping because of things we had to leave behind. I will return to your store 👍❤️

On December 20, 2025, we purchased a juvenile bearded dragon from the Petco in Glen Allen as a special Christmas gift for our daughter. She quickly became part of the family, and we fell in love with her sweet personality. Unfortunately, her health declined rapidly soon after bringing her home. On January 7, 2026, we took her to a reptile-experienced veterinarian (Dr. Locke Taylor-the vet that they recommend and use), where she was diagnosed with severe Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD) and a heavy coccidia infestation. These are conditions often linked to poor early care, nutrition, or stress in captive-bred juveniles from mass suppliers. Despite following the vet's prescribed medications and making adjustments, her condition worsened despite multiple follow-ups and a change in treatment. Tw

Great store with consistently friendly staff! I often visit for my own gerbils and parakeets, and am always happy to come by. Jocelyn was especially helpful and walked me through a confusing situation with grace and ease. Do consider visiting!
