Staff was great. Didn’t catch his name but thank you for being patient and helping me pick out the sassiest bunny in the store even though it was right before close.

I had a very upsetting experience at this Pet World location. My mother bought an item for $5.29 (total $5.58) and paid with a $10 bill. She should have received about $4.40 in change but was only given 30 cents. When we politely asked about the missing change, the cashier (Miranda) denied any mistake. Then the manager (a male) with tattoos came over, and he was extremely rude and unprofessional from the start. Instead of double-checking the register or reviewing the cameras, he immediately accused us of lying and raised his voice at us. He refused to listen or verify anything. We even requested the surveillance footage. The cashier refused, lying that it “wouldn’t show her checking us out” and would only show her back, even though one camera is clearly pointed at the register. She said

Poor customer service and unclear policies (Only reason this isnt 1 star is because of the associate who stood up for me against the employee named Miranda.) I bought five koi endlers from this store yesterday and noticed one wasn’t doing well on the drive home. I acclimated all of them properly before releasing them into my tank, but by the next day, the smaller one was barely moving. I called the store before driving back and was told I could exchange it as long as I brought the fish, my receipt, and a water sample. When I arrived, I was told the water sample in the bag with the fish didn’t count and that I needed to provide a separate sample, something that was never mentioned over the phone. The staff was very friendly. They let me hold a parakeet they were socializing! The store was clean and well maintained. My only complaint is that I found the prices in Pet World to be higher for small animal supplies than the prices at big chains like petsmart and petco. For example, the same bag of Oxbow hay blend at Pet World is $31.99, and at petsmart, it's $22.09. I would recommend the store to those who would like to support a local business and don't mind paying extra to do so.

Wanted some rocks for an aquarium. Stopped her to take a look and saw dragon stone. It had a sign that said $3.99 per pound. Went to check out and it couldn't be found in the system. I said the sign says its dragon stone $3.99. They found something in there system, weighed the stone and we paid. We had also had to wait a while as it wasnt in the system, they dealt with another customer, set someone to take a photo or get the code for the stone on the sign. When we got home I checked the receipt and we had been over charged for the stone. Might not have been by much, maybe 50 cents per lb but still over charged even though I told them twice what it said on the sign. Unfortunately I do not have a photo of the sign.
