This clinic worked with me to rehab my dog Bandit, who had a soft tissue injury to his shoulder. It was a long but successful journey. Bandit is now running agility and competing in hunt tests with no further lameness. Thank you to all the staff who reminded me again and again to be patient and take it slow.

Everyone at Midwest Veterinary Specialists has been incredible. Our dog Mia had torn ligaments in both hind legs, and while I was nervous at first, the team made the entire process reassuring and smooth. She had TPLO surgery on her left leg in June and her right leg in October, and she recovered beautifully from both. From Dr. Dearmin to the entire staff, the care, skill, and attention to detail were outstanding. Mia is starting 2026 fully healed, and we couldn’t be more grateful. They are truly the best of the best!!

We had the pleasure of working with both Dr. Dearmin and the rehabilitation team last year. Our husky had a minor CCL tear which caused her to limp after running. She was an unusual case, as the injury was minor and persistent but wasn't worsening. We first navigated non-invasive options (strict rest, rehabilitation, laser therapy, water treadmill) with hopes of avoiding surgery but she regressed every time she returned to high impact activity. We met with Dr. Dearmin several times before we decided to go through with a TPLO with arthroscopy. Had we known the process would be so stress-free at Midwest, we would have done it sooner! I brought my dog Alfred here for diagnosis after about a year of off and on front leg lameness. The facility is super clean with excellent ambiance. The staff were friendly and Dr. Bergh was great to work with. She diagnosed elbow dysplasia in both elbows. I decided to go with surgery. I was blown away by the care they provided throughout the whole process. Now, a year later, I was working with a professional trainer and she commented on how great he moves and that she never would have guessed he had undergone surgery. I would highly recommend if you suspect or are dealing with an orthopedic issue.

They truly care about your family pet. We go for acupuncture and are considering the underwater treadmill. Our dog has a lot of arthritis at her age and we are doing all we can to give her a great life for a long as possible. They also have a pool.
