Paw Spa and Retreat at Shenandoah Veterinary

What a great experience! My grandpup is so happy when she visits here. The staff returns her beautifully clean and tidied up. The spa had a big job with a white great pyrenees who has recently made rounds to all the dog parks in the area 😂

Boarded both dogs and cats. All were well cared for. Good communication. Front desk receptionist is very friendly and informative. Pets all seemed happy and healthy when picked up. Will board here again.

I would recommend AGAINST getting your dog groomed here. I took my dog in for a scheduled appt at around 8am and they took him to a room where he could not be seen, and didn't answer me when I asked how long it could be. At around 3pm, I call asking how everything is going and they said he would be done shortly. They weren't done until around 530. When I went to pick him up he was in a HIGHLY stressed state, shaking and not acting himself. When I got home, he made a mad dash for the water bowl and drank the entire thing, and then dashed to the door and acted like he has not been potty all day. So my experience was it took them nearly 10 hours to groom my dog, and it was obvious he was not given water or let out at all during this time, despite them saying they would. It is in my opinion

Called this morning to setup a appointment to have my pet groomed and was told that they had no available appointments until January of 2026!!! Wow 😲 I called Mid - Atlantic Veterinary in Hagerstown Md. and they have a groomer I used before that does a fantastic job. Called this morning 4/7/25 and have a appointment in less than a week.

Heather (groomer) and Remington (bather) did an awesome job with my cat. I also appreciate the grooming report card.
