Ontario County Humane Society

My name is Kaylee Bauch. I’ve contacted the human society countless times over the past three weeks to attempt to help 3 abandoned cats left by a neighbor outside in the freezing cold. I’ve been told i will get a call back (i don’t), I get told someone will come out to get them (no one has), and now the humane society just ignore my phone calls. Im deeply concerned of the lack of professionalism within their building. I hope that management can fix their issue of lying to people so they just leave them alone! Im hoping that this can be addressed.

Inregards to Ontario County Humane Society, Happy Tails Animal Shelter My momma peg passed away on 12/26 and no one was there so they went and picked up the dogs as soon as I found out the dogs were there I made every way to get in contact with these people. Finally after 3 days the day I was suppose to get them they denied me sense Peggy didn’t have any “biological children and the will” cool I bought and brought a bunch of stuff out there to see them when I saw them there was hair everywhere looks like they weren’t bathed or washed at all. I don't know how to fully convey the gratitude and appreciation that I feel for this place. From start to finish, every single person I interacted with was kind, passionate about animals, and hopeful that I would find one to come home with me. I ended up finding a dog who is sweeter than I ever could have imagined. Her heart is gold and she is bringing me joy that I never even expected. Given the positive experience and everything that they supplied to help me start on the right foot as a first time dog owner (longtime cat owner), the price for adoption is extremely reasonable. Whether you find the fur baby you are looking for there or not, I can assure you that it is worth starting your search there. I took my kitty off 16 years here when he passed to get cremated. It's a hard time for a pet owner to go through, but I felt a little better knowing that I would have my pet again soon, even if it's a different form than I want. The kind staff/volunteers is so appreciated during this difficult time. Thank you for the paw print as well. Recommend to anyone who wants to cremate their loved furry family member.

What great people and great animals! We got the two newest members of our family there and couldn't be happier. The folks working were so nice and very honest about the animals. The best part is that they are a no kill shelter!
