I am so pleased that Northern Tails Grooming is making themselves a place for pets here in Fairbanks. We were able to get our dogs in somewhat last minute for a much needed grooming treatment. They were comfortable in the space and Nicholas was awesome. They needed a special shampoo for a specific need and he sought it out before their appointment! Northern Tails definitely went above and beyond and our pups will be going again. Highly recommend. Thank you!!! From us and our doggos.

I can’t recommend Northern Tails enough! Anyone with Shiba Inus knows how intense shedding season can be, and they did an incredible job with the de-shedding treatment. The difference was noticeable immediately — so much loose fur gone, and their coats looked healthy, soft, and shiny. What I really appreciated was their patience and gentle approach. Shibas can be a bit particular, but they handled them calmly and professionally, making the whole experience stress-free. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs they work with. If you’re looking for someone who knows how to properly groom double-coated breeds and tackle serious shedding, I highly recommend them. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Our experience with Northern Tails Grooming was absolutely wonderful! From the start, their communication stood out — they’re super responsive and make scheduling easy with online booking. I called to confirm I was booking the right service, and Nick got back to me right away with an appointment. When we arrived, Jana and Nick greeted us warmly at drop-off and made the whole process so easy. Our girl came home looking great and smelling fantastic! We already have our next appointment booked and are excited to keep supporting this awesome business as it grows.

20/10 very highly recommend. He was very responsive when communicating about the service we needed for our dog. He was patient friendly and very welcoming. The products he used worked very well and smelt amazing. Well above reasonable prices! When she was difficult he handled her well and was still providing an outstanding job. Dixie is 60lbs medium hair and his de-shedding process and service was above and beyond what I was expecting. Again well worth the reasonable price and we'll worth ever penny!!! Like I said 20/10 highly-qualified and recommended.

Got our senior dog groomed here and we got photos taken. They were so gentle with our old man and he’s honestly never looked more handsome in his 14 years - they even brushed his teeth! The photos are amazing and we will cherish them forever. My mom cried when she saw them she loved them so much. Northern tails makes you feel very cared for and comfortable when you’re there. Just go for a good time and get beautiful photos taken while you’re at it!
