Best. Day. Ever! ​Today was exactly what I needed! I got to take one of the incredible dogs, Moose, from the Nevada Humane Society out on a field trip for their "Dog Date" program, and it was pure bliss. ​This isn't just a fun outing; it’s crucial real-world socialization for these pups, giving them a much-needed mental break and improving their chances of finding a forever home. We started the day going to the Boca Reservoir, then the Sparks Marina to watch the wildlife, and finished the day with a victory pup cup! 🍦 ​I have to give a huge shout-out to my employer, Miramar Services Inc., for making days like this possible. I got my baby boy Truckee there. This is a worthwhile place. They do gods work. I routinely drop off old blankets, towels, leashes things like that. It's cold this time of year and the doggies could use some nice warm blankets.. donate yours today

I adopted these two cat Bros now known as Moto and Poppie, but to the Reno Humane Society they were known as Motorboat and Papa. I adopted them in 2018. It is now in 2025 and I just wanted to share that they are still so happy so healthy and they are in there forever home ! My best friends!!! We also adopted our bunny rabbit named Cooper from the Reno Humane Society, she was 6months old, and now she is going on 7 years old. By the way Reno, she was a giant breed hehe so she fits perfectly with her brothers Moto and Poppie!

After recently having multiple bad experiences at our vet I didn't feel comfortable going back or bringing my puppy in to be neutered there, especially since the quote was $1600. I had volunteered for a shelter for 9 years in California and seen the quality work their vets did and looked into NHS. I was so happy to see they helped the public with vet services and our experience could not have been better. Scheduling was easy, the drop off and pick up was also very well coordinated. They did a wonderful job and were very caring and attentive.

10 years ago I adopted Miss Penny from The Nevada Humane Society. She was a young 4year old black lab mix full of energy. She was a wonderful dog, non violent, curious, playful and very beautiful. I cannot begin to tell you the joy, happiness, peacefullness, anti ptsd, and more, this dog has brought to my life. Yesterday she moved on to the rainbow bridge. It was necessary because of complications due to cancer and other ailments. She has left behind a legacy of toys that I am busy washing and sterilizing for her friends at the Humane Society. I will bring them in soon. Thank you, thankyou, thank you to God and the Nevada Humane Society for allowing Penny's journey. She has touched many lives.
