Neuse River Equine Hospital

My horse had canker in his front two hooves, and I was scrambling to find a vet to take care of him. Canker is pretty rare and difficult to treat. Several people recommended Dr. Bob Meyers at Neuse River - I called and was able to set up a debridement shortly thereafter. He answered all of my questions, was easy to follow up with and just overall a really nice person. Dr. Bob is hands down the best equine vet I have ever seen before. You can tell he cares about his clients and their horses. I can't recommend him enough!

Always a responsive staff. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. They are also great to share ideas for treatment or things to help out with care of our 3 horses. Have not experienced any negative interactions with the vets that have come out.

This place is absolutely phenomenal! They really pulled me out of a pickle! With my busy life, it slipped my mind that my horses coggins went out a few days ago and I was going to have to cancel two planned trail rides because my vet couldn’t get us in until next week (I live a bit a ways away). Neuse river equine hospital fit me in, pulled a stat coggins, and now I do not have to cancel either of my trips. Not to mention, the staff were so kind, so patient, and so understanding. I highly recommend them and you are in excellent hands if you take your horses here ! If you don’t, you should!
