We had a great experience with Chris Farr as he trained our 6 year old Pitbull, Domino, and of course, us as dog handlers! Before the 3 week training, Domino was pretty much impossible to walk anywhere without being pulled, dragged and fearful of encounters with other dogs. We were amazed to see how quickly Chris trained Domino to heel, place, come, sit and overall make good choices when walking by other dogs! Chris does an excellent job of establishing a solid and trusting relationship with the dog as well with the owners. So overall, the results are extremely effective.

Chris did a great job of training, both me and my dog. He uses a lot of relevant analogies to get across the concepts, and he’s always checking-in to assure we’re on the same page with expectations and how we’re progressing. He helped me learn to be a better handler and trainer so that my dog and I can continue to learn and train beyond our lesson time with Chris. I’d recommend Chris if you’re serious about training an obedient dog. Thanks Chris.

From the introductory meeting through the training and follow up lessons Chris was fantastic to work with. He listened to our concerns, asked us for specific scenarios we wanted to work through with our dog and addressed each concern with detailed feedback for us. He balanced his approach to what he believed would work best for our dog and the challenges we thought needed the most attention. His communication to us throughout the board and training documented progress and kept us informed on how our dog was doing. I’d happily recommend him for anyone needing help with their dog and could see myself coming back to him in the future.

We did the Puppy Preschool board-and-train program over the Thanksgiving holiday, and the overall experience was amazing! Chris’s communication from the very beginning was excellent, which made the setup process easy. He even gave us some homework to work on before training began. Drop-off was simple, and throughout the stay-and-train we received videos of our puppy excelling with her commands. When we picked her up, we had a follow-up session, as well as another one a week later. Both sessions were extremely helpful and important. Chris built a great foundation for our puppy, and my partner and I now feel confident working with her. We’re excited to continue building on the foundation he started.

We are thrilled with the results from Best By Farr Dog Training for our 18-month-old Bichon, Lucy. Before training, walks were frustrating due to her constant pulling, and she would bark and jump on guests. Choosing the 3-week Board and Train program was the best decision for us. This model proved to be an excellent foundation, and was absolutely pivotal for Lucy’s incredible transformation. Chris is an exceptional trainer, and Lucy’s progress is dramatic. She now walks reliably on a leash, and it’s a joy to take her anywhere. Her "place" command is a game-changer, keeping her calm and on her bed when guests arrive. Beyond obedience, Lucy is noticeably calmer and more confident. The key difference was the focus on owner training. Chris provided clear, patient instruction, helping us unders
