Mainely Veterinary Dentistry & Urgent Care

This vet office is very pet friendly and I like that they strive to achieve a no fear attitude for your pets. My cat was quite comfortable in the room we were put in and enjoyed the space that they provided for us during our consultation visit. We had an appointment for an echocardiogram on a later date as well. The price was wild, as vet prices do be.. but that’s beside the point. I did have some problems, though, which made me want to give less stars, but I’m not here trying to slander a small business. It seems like the people here care and from what I experienced, they are very nice. On our consultation visit, the vet tech took a photo of my cat for her profile. From beginning to end, I was impressed! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and just really kind. They take a tremendous amount of patience and time to go over every detail involved with your pets care. I will definitely be a repeat customer for continued care of my German Shepherd and I highly recommend!

Mainely Veterinary Dentistry Staff, and Dr. Keaten are fabulous. I have worked in vet med for several years, yet I have never had an emergency with my own animal. Unfortunately it finally happened, which resulted in a broken jaw and displaced teeth for my 5 year old Labrador, and a Broken Canine for my 5 year old Shepherd. My lab had an immense amount of bleeding coming from his mouth and nose, that combined with the displaced teeth, I was completely panicked. Emergency clinics don't deal with teeth, but fortunately they were able to give pain meds. My hospital got my lab in the next day, where we preformed x-rays of his skull and jaw, and everything looked relatively normal, which was shocking due to the displacement of his teeth. The plan was to let it heal and potentially remove teeth

Brought my shiba inu in for an advanced dental procedure. Everything went well! I am going to be using MVD for all my pets’ dental needs moving forward because I think they do a really great job.

I highly recommend Mainely Veterinary Dentistry! The staff are very experienced and compassionate, they sincerely care about every pet that comes through the door! They provide a safe, trustworthy and clean environment. The surgery my cat received was extensive and he is doing amazing! The cost was very reasonable for what he had done!
