Lodi City Animal Shelter

They do a great job here caring for the animals and finding them homes. The shelter looks very clean and the animals look healthy. The have a out door dog run area they you can see them playing with the dogs. Please don't buy, adopt, there are so many great animals that need homes.

If I’m going to be honest, they never come out for any call in Lodi. My cat was stolen from me and illegally dumped, and the person admitted to the animal control officer that she’s done it before and they did nothing about it. Even showed them audio and video of her admitting to illegally dumping my cat somewhere, but they just don’t want the paperwork ..My cat deserves justice, but Lodi animal shelter, will never give it to them because they legally don’t want to do their job. Lodi City Animal Shelter is a great place on the corner of Ham & Kettelman Lane. If you live in Lodi you should know of this place that takes in run 🏃‍♂️ away Lol 😆 dogs 🐕 & cats 🐈. About this place in general, the staff are absolutely 💯 amazing, kind, friendly & know exactly what you need. Funny story is my wife & I went here on July 1, 2025, to get a free spayed and neutered voucher to help our community pay for either. On that date 📅 we went there to get a free voucher for our female cat 🐈‍⬛️ that needed to be spayed. Once inside I told my wife Hey isn't that Chrissy or Christie our neighbor and she said It is Lol 😄. Have to say this not because we our neighbors, but the kind person she is shows through the way she cares for what she does for animals. I highly recommend the Lodi City An

Adopting Stanley went so smoothly. No hassle at all. The nicest people in the world work there. Very attentive. My sister and I found our bundle of joy in minutes and an hour later out the door. Check out our new baby boy Stanley. And he’s a SF Giants fan.

I'd give this place a 1-star rating if it wasn't for a few factors: 1. This whole incident took place over the Christmas season. 2. The cat that this post is about has been adopted out to a loving home. One or two stray cats visit my house from time to time. I got attached to one of them when he showed up at my doorstep everyday looking for attention and care. One day I found him limping outside of our front door. He had two small puncture wounds on his upper left forearm and was crying in pain. Obviously he needed immediate medical attention, but I wasn't sure if he had an owner as he wasn't microchipped, so I gave him over to the Shelter so he could be treated. The service officer asked me if I wanted to claim him if no one came forward and I said yes and gave her my contact information
