Ko'olau Bed & Biscuit

Pohai is a little gem tucked in the peaceful mountain setting that is Ko’olau Bed & Biscuit. She has a gentle demeanor and her sweetness is undeniable, and she truly possesses that magic touch with dogs. My boarding experience went smooth like butter; the place is clean, quiet, doesn’t smell of pee. There are ample green areas for dogs to enjoy privately or socially. The enclosures feel safe, comfortable, and not claustrophobic or hot, there’s AC. Pohai took wonderful care of my senior dog and sent prompt updates whenever I asked. I couldn’t be happier. My dog felt happy at pick up, was freshly bathed, looked comfortable and lively, clearly well taken care of. I almost want to gate keep but good things are meant to be shared.

Our dog Sophie has stayed at Koolau Bed and Biscuit three different times now. We are so fortunate to have found this beautiful boarding facility. Upon our arrival, Sophie comes out of the back of our car to willingly greet Pohai and she never looks back. She eats all her food, her poop once she returns home is not loose (that’s a great indicator Sophie was very comfortable there). She gets to play while she’s there and she comes home very happy as well. That says a lot about the environment and care that she receives. Sophie is a larger dog with a lot of energy and curiosity. She never showed anxiety and came home content. I could not recommend Koolau Bed And Biscuit more highly. We are very fortunate to have found them. Mahalo🌺.

My dogs have gone there twice and plan to go back there again. This place has a lot of place for the to play.

Couple of years ago these people took care of my pit when no one else was willing to. My pit “Baby” is large, black, hates other animals, scary looking, but so loving to humans. My drive from Honolulu was worth it. I appreciated their help. Sorry so late but big mahalo to koolau bed and biscuit 👍

We’ve had to board our pet here twice and haven’t had any issues. The girls staffed there have been very good to our pet. This place has large runs for larger dogs, good sized medium “runs” for med. sized dogs. And small(yet still roomie areas) for smaller breeds. If you have multiple pets and prefer they share a run, they will do that for you. There was a large fenced in yard for outdoor time(they get lots of outdoor and play time). We were given a proper tour prior to deciding to board here. We haven’t met the owner but she lives next door to the facility and has pets herself. They do check to be sure pets staying are up to date on vaccinations including bordetella, which is comforting.
