Phenomenal experience with Kona Dog Care! This was our first time leaving our sweet furry baby, Lacey, in the care of a boarding pet sitter and I was extremely nervous. She has separation anxiety and I was concerned she was not going to do well being separated from us overnight. Bruce and his family did an amazing job with her! Lacey remained calm, relaxed, content and her playful self. Totally, putting my nerves at ease. Communicating with us by text messages and sending photos throughout the day on how she was doing. I cannot say enough, how grateful we were to be kept informed. They are genuine, attentive, caring, professional and experienced. If I could rate them higher than a five. It would be “Out of the Ballpark” I highly recommend Bruce and his family at Kona Dog Care. Mahalo Bruce

Being new to the island, finding the right place for our small dog was important knowing she was still learning how to get along with other dogs. Looks like we found it with Bruce and Tata. Bruce was very thorough in vetting our dog and we decided to give Freckles a try. Initially Freckles would growl at the other dogs but Bruce and Tata had made her feel very comfortable to where she began to warm up. In just 2 days, we received more updates and photos compared to months of boarding in the mainland. We are just so happy that our furbaby will have a safe and comfortable home when we are in need of dog boarding. The bonus is that Freckles is learning to get along with other dogs since Bruce and Tata mainly house small dogs. I think being mixed with big dogs in the past did not help our dog

Bruce and family honestly deserve more than 5 stars for the level of care and ease of mind they provided me and my 10 yr old small dog when I had to leave him for an emergency trip to the mainland. Bruce I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate your kindness, communication and photo updates. Plus the AirTag is genius. Your level of service is above and beyond anything I ever hoped to find from a person caring for my dog. I haven’t stopped telling everyone about you & your family! Wonderful experience! I love that there are only small dogs here as well as a limited number boarded at a time. Very personalized care. I knew my pup was well looked after and totally safe. They were very communicative with text updates and pictures every day, which I really appreciated. My dog usually cries and howls whenever I've left him at boarding places before, but here, he went right in, tail wagging, not a worry in the world.
