Kearney Area Animal Shelter

I adopted a kitten that had an eye removed before adoption and the folks at the shelter were incredibly helpful with making sure she stayed healthy. They even did a follow up surgery to fully remove the tear duct at no cost to me and they happily did a check up to make sure she was okay. They clearly cared for her and I am so grateful for what the have done for me and my little Gaia.

We adopted an adult cat. She is absolutely wonderful! Our home is now her home. She is thrilled about not being at KAAS, even though they took great care of her. If I ever need to adopt another cat, I will definitely be coming back here.

We adopted our sweet, wild boy from here. We love him soo much and is perfect for our family. They gave us all the info we could need for down the road. I called almost everyday to see if he was ready to be adopted (sorry!) and the staff was always so kind! KAAS will always have a special place in my heart, thanks to them I have an adventure buddy and a little bestie!

Negative reviews are belivable, practically pushed out the door because my young boys where too much for them excited 5 an 4 year olds being excited for first meeting w a cat a young energy filled cat. They will reffer you to other places if you're not good enough for them so thats a plus i suppose.

My cat escaped the hotel on a cross country road trip and we were devastated. The animal shelter recommended that I contact them and I have never seen such a response! They had posters made, a search party organized, and brought kennels and traps within hours of my reaching out. I had her back that night! I hope everyone has the same luck!
