K9 Country Club

We had a vacation to Florida planned August 1-9th. 2 days before we were scheduled to leave our dog sitter backed out and we nearly had to cancel our trip, especially with 2 German Shepards, one being on the elderly side and the other being as some say “reactive”. In the many years of having these 2 we’ve never been apart longer than a long weekend and I was already nervous and sad for the whole thing. The way that Jim and his wife at K9 Country Club called and said they wanted to help me literally made this happen. Not only did we go meet him just the day before but they put up with my several calls, several texts, long conversations and my crying upon leaving them. Our dogs are so excited every time they go to K9 Country Club! Jim is super friendly and definitely cares about the dogs! We have 2 Dutch Shepherds (one male and one female) and we know that their breed is cared for and understood here. When they come home, they are tired! They definitely get plenty of play time during their stay! Knowing that they are cared for while we’re away makes us feel so much better! In addition, the pricing is great and super reasonable!

Bruno is a rescue dog and he is scared of everyone and takes time to trust in people, specially men! First time I took him, Bruno approached Jim as he new him before, I was surprised how he was so relaxed and felt safe. I'd definitely leave Bruno again with Jim!

It’s only fun to go out of town when I can leave my dog in good hands. I drive 30+ minutes to get to Jim’s because he does so well w my dog. She’s a nut, and he likes her anyway. Thank you for your continued service!

My husband shared his review already, but I wanted to share here, too. I figured it can never hurt to share the appreciation for our local businesses! We were hemming and hawing for a LONG time on who we should board our big Komondor mix (Kaz) and our Border Collie/Pittie mix (Taylor) for the first time ever. They are homies, so we wanted them be boarded together, but everywhere we looked was just insanely priced to do that (over $160 a day). I would have been paying more for them to stay at a pet hotel than for me to stay at a Disney hotel - and as much as I love my pets, that seemed too much.
