Joyful Paws Kasey Nash Review I’m writing this review for Kasey Nash, Joyful Paws, because she is a superb trainer and I’m very grateful that she trained our dog Daisy to become a service dog. Daisy is a mini labradoodle and was 2 ½ when she began training with Kasey. Previously she had had two intermediate classes at the K-9 Connecticut Education Center. To summarize, in our first session Kasey explained in detail what would be involved, and stressed the importance of my involvement. Daisy had 20 lessons spread out over 6 months. Lessons took place in Kasey’s very well equipped basement, Home Goods, Target, Petco, and Cabela Sports. Kasey sent detailed notes after each lesson on what and how to practice, and how to take commands to new levels. Daisy bonded with Kasey the first day, and b

My son and I couldn't be happier with Asteria! She is such a good girl and she is doing so well. She is an absolute perfect fit for him. She is already so in tune with him at only 8 months old! She is mostly calm and relaxed at home(with the occasional "favorite snack zoomies" 😁), entertaining herself with all of her toys and coming to my son when she wants more interpersonal time or affection. She is also already great at deep pressure therapy. She LOVES to work and is incredible at public access. Thank you so much, Kasey for everything that you do. I don't think I've seen my son this content and smiling like this in a very long time. I've never seen him interact with so much love with another being (besides myself) like he does with Asteria. His gaze is filled with so much joy and love w

I am a client of Joyful Paws Service Dogs who recieved one of her partially trained dogs. I could not be happier with the experience after more than half a decade of failed attempts and dogs not working out before even reaching me. Kasey is the real deal. She is extremely intelligent and educated on canine behavior and training, and she applies her deep understanding to her work of creating extraordinarily stable, enthusiastic dogs, who she is meticulous in matching to the right situation. Kasey trains her dogs without force or compulsion, something that was non-negotiable for me. It shows in the thoughtful confidence and optimism her dogs display when faced with new situations or challenges. My placed dog treats tricky moments like they're fun training exercises because that's how she wa

Kasey is an amazing dog trainer, I am so lucky to have found her! I worked with her for a year to help my Havanese/Poodle mix learn the basics of task training, and getting comfortable in crowded public settings/public access. He has learned so much and I have a helpful companion-- all thanks to Kasey's help! Kasey is both up-to-date on latest training techniques and dog behavioral science, and is incredibly intuitive to the needs of the dog. She has a positive, affirming, and supportive style, which is gentle but incredibly effective-- and better than any other trainer I've worked with. With her guidance I was able to bring my dog to a higher level of training, confidence, and comfort, and I feel confident working as a team with my dog. If you are considering working with anyone to help

Kasey is simply the best. I'm so grateful for her compassion and understanding towards people with disabilities and service dogs. I always feel seen and heard by her. We've worked together since October 2021 and she's been a HUGE part of my journey to gaining my independence and life back. She has helped me from choosing the right service dog prospect, public access training, training complicated tasks, to supporting me in advocating for my rights. Her knowledge and skills are invaluable. Dogs love her, people love her, she's just amazing in every way. My service dog, Sami, is my partner for life and I wouldn't trade our bond for the world.
