I am convinced this is the best clinic in the country. I used to live on the East Coast and have seen vets across multiple different states. Dr. Allen and his team at JCAH are simply the BEST around. My dog Harley was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on January 3rd, 2025. When Dr. Allen delivered the devastating news to us, he sat on the floor with our dog and talked us through everything with the utmost compassion and care. He performed Harley's hind limb amputation, referred us to an oncologist, and guided us through every step of Harley's journey. Because of Dr. Allen, Harley is still with us almost a year later (which is sadly not the norm for osteosarcoma patients). My elder kitty can be "spicy" and the folks at JCAH were very patient with us both, recommending monitoring of possible health issues. The visit was super informative for me, because the Vet took the time to explain everything in a way that even I (not a medical person) could understand and appreciate. Keep up the great work!

100% the most compassionate staff I have ever met. They are so caring and kind . I have and will continue to speak highly of the way I was treated but most of all the way they handled my pet . I am very happy with JC Animal Hospital, Dr. Allen and the staff. Everyone is friendly and professional. I appreciate their willingness to answer questions and the level of respect they have for my wishes for my pets’ care. My daughter lives in Chicago and her pup saw Dr. Allen when she was staying with me. We are so happy with the care all our animals receive, she is now a patient too and will be scheduling her appointments during future visits to Jefferson City.

My cat was very sick with borderline Mega Colon. He was shaking, dehydrated from vomiting so much, panting, and straining with no bowel movements. He was in so much pain, I was turned away from two other Vet clinics saying they were booked up and there wasn't anything they could give my cat as he was right there meowing in pain. The JC Animal Hospital got my cat in ASAP and gave him fluids, an X-Ray and an enema right away. We changed his prescription cat food and sent me home with the food and laxatives in case he didn't go and to come back the next day if he still hadn't went. He went right away and started eating and drinking water shortly after. He was so relieved from the pain and a few more days could have caused serious damage or have been fatal.
