Hungry Hound Boutique & Grooming

I took my 6 month old Norwich Terrier pup in for a basic bath, nail trim, and private part trim. I phoned ahead of time and made it very clear what I wanted and spoke with McKenzie about my sensitivity about grooming my pup. I requested Marissa, but she wasn’t available so he recommended Barb. BAD MISTAKE!!! Barb groomed my older dog previously and seriously cut him during his grooming experience. I took my pup in met with Barb and “clearly told her no hair cutting” just the basic. Barb cut anyway and hacked the heck out my pup’s cute face. She cut hair on his ears, his head, around his eyes, around his nose… and other parts of his body all without consent from me as his owner… that’s in my opinion wrong!! The haircut was really uneven and there was pieces of hair sticking up all over our Pomeranian and he did not smell clean. This is the first time I've ever gotten our dog groomed and they did not smell clean. He came back smelling the same way he went yet it was $68.

The staff was great and super quick. My dog is a bit nervous with grooming and definitely doesn't like his nails done. They were very accommodating and prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of service. I'm looking forward to getting my dog used to this place.

Sara at the valparaiso location exceeded my expectations. I have a 7 year old chow chow that hasn’t been to the groomer since she was a puppy because the past groomers deemed her “unsafe” for groomers. She took it slow and made my dog feel so safe. The whole staff at the valparaiso location was amazing.

Marissa is fantastic with double coated dogs specifically, which can be tricky to do right. All 3 of my dog's love it here and come out looking fantastic each time. The boutique treats are wonderful, the high quality treats and food selection is top notch and the staff are all top quality folks!
