Humane Society-Searcy

3 years ago we adopted our sweet Izzy! We had the greatest experience with the sweet staff. She was very well taken care of at this facility. They interviewed me to help us find the right fit. Obviously, Izzy is a perfect addition to our family!

Almost a year ago, I came in looking at a dog that might have not been a good match for me and my home. The Humane Society of Searcy‘s staff matched me with a dog that better fit me in my situation. That dog is on the right and the red harness, I named him Colonel. The staff deeply cares for the dogs and cats they take in, and they want to make sure that they’re matched with a good home. I am so very grateful.

As my husband and I tried to adopt a dog here because we have a passion for dogs and have more than enough room for another dog. We applied for the dog and we never got a call back so we went up to see how the application process was going. when we went up to see what was going on they were not just short with us but also lying to us about our other dogs vets. Then told us they would get back with us and never gave us a call to let us know if we got the dog or not. I absolutely do not recommend this place for getting a dog. They are rude and terrible to their customers.

So I don’t know really where to start. We went and looked at the dogs they had up there and was interested in one. We were simply asking questions when one of the ladies up there Rudely answered the questions we asked. I’m not sure how this place has gotten any good reviews, they were scrambled all over the place. The lady also was basically trying to talk us out of the puppy. None of them talked respectfully, and we will simply not adopt from them just because of how they were towards us! I believe when you adopt you would like to know information and surely they would be used to that by now, with our experience obviously not. It was our first time being there and would’ve been our first to adopt. I’m extremely disappointed and upset, and hope them animals up there get the home they need

We are just so pleased to have met the folks at Humane Society -Searcy!! Recently, our beloved fur baby Bruno passed away. We were heart broken and our house was emptier without him. We debated on whether to adopt another baby or not. Then we saw a post about Atlas!! We knew what we had to do. My wife contacted the people at the shelter and the rest is history. Everyone was so professional and knowledgeable about the dogs there and you could just tell how they cared about them. We couldn't be more blessed and Atlas is such a wonderful addition to our family!! We love him dearly and we know we made the right decision. Thank you, everyone at the Humane Society -Searcy, for what you are doing to help others find that perfect new addition to their families.
