7 years ago I adopted a puppy from you. His name was kringle. I had watched him on your website for a few weeks and decided to just go and see if he was still at the shelter. He was. I knew I had to take him home. He was shy at first but soon he opened up to all of my family. His name now, Mac or Macaroni. He is the best dog. He loves his people. He is a great foster brother. We have since started fostering dogs for various rescues and He always put up with my shenanigans when bringing home a new dog. He is the best listener. I have been working with rescues for 5 years now and I live for the happy updates from my adopters. I just wanted to give you a happy update in return for giving me the best dog in the world. We highly promote the Greenwood Humane Society. They helped so many animals as well as the community. We recently went to them to have our cat euthanized hand cremated and they did a beautiful job and we're very caring and loving and helped us with any questions and made themselves available in the future for when it's time to adopt again.

We adopted Goldie but fell in love with almost all of the others. No pressure staff. Very caring and professional. Animals are medically cleared before they are up for adoption.

I am so very disappointed in the shelter. Yesterday, I found 12 puppies on the side of the road. They were so very cute and sweet and very thirsty. I picked up my granddaughter early so we could take them straight to the shelter when they opened at 12. I found them between Saluda and Greenwood counties. The lady that opened the door said they could not take animals from another county. I said "WHAT??" They need your help is that not what your job is? She got a supervisor. Both were EXTREMELY rude and very uncaring. They never even looked at the sweet puppies. They told me I would have to take them to Edgefield. I was in disbelief. I told them I live in Greenwood county and pay my taxes in Greenwood County and I am unsure where the county lines are. The puppies sure do not know which county

When I first went to them they helped me so much and helped me save 2 of my puppies that had parvo only cause I spent over $500 for them. But as soon as I needed them for the same thing with another pup they would not give me the one medicine that would have saved him cause I didn't have another $300 bucks for the visit and the test to prove he had parvo. The lady at the desk told me if I came up with a little more money then I could get the meds he needed to save him. My heart is so broken I lost my sweet baby boy and had to take my last $150 bucks to have my little fur baby cremated. I'm so upset when I told them they just killed my baby all for money. I'm so disappointed in this place when at first I felt they cared for the animals when I seen all they cared about was the money.
