My daughter and I went to look for a younger cat and Seraphine when I walked into the community room jumped on my lap! I didn't need to look at any other cats! We choose her and the volunteer and staff that sided me in checking her out of there that day were so helpful. Everything was explained fully from what history they had of her, her vet records and the way she has been interacting with other cats and people. I paid $100 for her and she is 2 years old but has the energy of a kitten! She has increased her eating (she was skinny) and has fit in wonderfully into our world. Thank you HAWS!

HAWS is just amazing. I adopted Rutabaga from them in October 2024. The staff were so warm and friendly. Ruty had lots of dental issues upon me getting her and they took care of her so generously! What a blessing.

From the moment I walked in, lovely women at the desk ready to help. To the kind a caring vet and assistant who saw both my cats for the appt. They listened attentively and kindly addressed anything I brought up and got my kitties checked out, treated and it was an all around lovely experience! We will definitely come back in the future for anything we may need😊🙏

We adopted our fur baby Navy (Sarge at HAWS) on 11/14/2025 — he has been/is the sweetest, smartest, and most wonderful boy! We are working on his lack of basic commands, and he's steadily learning more and more each day — we just love him so much! Thank you again Waukesha HAWS!

Great, helpful staff and a clean facility. I brought my best buddy Teddy (formerly known as Porky the cat) home from here!!! Staff was so accommodating during my thorough search for a cat and my (many) cat visits. The cat volunteers are so adorable & sweet! You can tell they really care about the animals and make it as comfortable as they possibly can for the pets. I will definitely return in the future when it is time for me to adopt cat #2!
