Hounds Town - Smyrna

I’ve recently rescued a pup who unfortunately was not treated well by her previous owner and my girl was never properly socialized with other dogs. I needed a safe place to take her to slowly integrate with other dogs. I was so nervous how it would turn out but the staff at Hounds Town are so knowledgeable on how to treat each special dog, my girl did great. The facility is so clean and again the entire staff go above and beyond to take care of my pup. Not to mention how incredibly kind each worker is every time I bring her in. I’ll soon be having her stay for a few nights and I have no worries at all she’ll be left in great hands!

My Dalmatian LOVES this place. They have a great and caring staff. If there is ever any rough play, they call me and let me know what happened and if there are any scratches or not. They inform me of his behavior and they even work on his social skills. They really care about the dogs here. Plus the Hounds Town Hangover is awesome for a high energy dog lol.

We take our pups (Orson and Valerie) a couple of times a week to Hounds Town Smyrna. They started going at 6 months old, and are about 19 months old now. They both love it so much. The staff is really terrific, and you can tell they love each and every dog that comes through their doors. They spend a great deal of effort matching the dogs into play groups that match their size and temperament. We work hard to make certain our two pups are not overly co-dependent on each other and do not suffer from littermate syndrome. Hounds Town has been a valuable tool in those efforts, allowing us to send one to daycare while we spend 1x1 time with the other at home. This has done wonders for their development and training. First, I want to say that I own a small family business myself and fully understand the importance of fair, honest reviews. I don’t believe in exaggeration, and I believe in giving credit where it’s due. My younger dog, Ollie, seemed to have a great stay with no issues at all. Unfortunately, my 16-year-old dog, Dallas, did not have the same experience. I had to cut a ten-day vacation short after receiving a call that he would not make it through the remainder of his stay. I was told he had been unresponsive to their commands for 24 hours, laying in his urine, and lowering oxygen levels. I immediately returned home on a $1,000 plane ticket. I signed the senior dog boarding form understanding all the risks and liabilities while leaving him in their care. He was boarded less than six month

Hounds Town was wonderful! We were traveling for a family emergency and needed daycare on short notice. We called all over town but they were the only ones who were willing to do a temperament test on a Saturday. They were a lifesaver! And they showed us around the facility and made us feel great about leaving our pup. He had an amazing time! And best of all he was pooped the rest of the day. We’ll definitely use them again on future visits to Nashville!
