Homeward Pet Adoption Center

I had such a lovely experience adopting our puppy through Homeward. Even before I went in to meet the puppies, Homeward was extremely responsive and helpful to get me in sooner so I wouldn't miss my chance! We were able to bring home one of the "Mars Rover puppies", "Perseverance" who we have now named Jonesy and we really couldn't be happier that he has joined our family. Thank you for taking such great care of these animals and making sure they go to loving homes!

We submitted an application, and made an appointment to adopt one of their kittens. After driving over an hour to get there, they tell me the kitten was adopted. I’m happy that the kitten found a home, but you would think someone would’ve picked up the phone, or sent me an email since they had all our info. But I guess that’s too much to ask! They told me to check back because they would get other kittens in soon. Do you truly believe I would drive there again after the experience I had? There are plenty of rescues who have more respect for people’s time, and I would not trust you again.

My partner and I have been looking at adopting another cat for some time, and we decided (the night before) to schedule an appointment and check this place out. The moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the amazing staff. They took the time to hear our story and concerns and professionally share their opinions while also making the whole conversation personal too! Meeting the cats was such a joy! After our visit, we went to two other shelters and ended up coming back here in the afternoon to adopt! We felt a little bad coming in unexpectedly without an appointment. However Kendall, took this with stride and was able to help us with the adoption process. Shortly after, we were going home with our new family member! We are currently fostering to adopt a lovely dog named mama, we originally liked a different dog we saw on their site but they informed us that she might not be the best apartment dog so they suggested mama instead we made the appointment to go see her and fell in love she's the sweetest doggy and is loving her new home so far. She has a uti due to most likely having babies recently and they are taking really good care of her by providing the medication very quickly and has communicated with my boyfriend and answered any question and concerns in a timely manner. We looked at a few other places before finding this shelter and the experiences were no where near as good.

After checking their hours on the website I drove 40 minutes to get to this place today. You just can't get the vibe on a dog online. I wanted an interaction before adoption. I arrived at 3:40, was met at the door and told, "We closed early today for an employee event." I told her how far I had come, but she gave me a business card, told me to look online and locked the door. A 3 minute walk-thru would have been nice.
