Happy Dog Grooming Salon

This was my dog nephew’s first visit to this grooming salon, and while the place has a good reputation, our experience this time was disappointing. The nail trim was poorly done — several nails were barely clipped, and one even appears to have a crack that may reach the nail bed. As the owner and I both agree, if a dog is too large or difficult to handle, it would be far better to decline the service rather than risk injury. We hope the business takes this feedback seriously to prevent similar situations in the future.

I’ve been bringing my senior dog Beso since this past spring for grooming and I have been very pleased with each time. He is the typical yappy dog (I’m so sorry), but I’m thankful for the wonderful service from dropping him off to picking him up. Thank you all! You guys are amazing!

We had a phenomenal experience at Happy Dog Grooming! Taylor was our groomer and she exceeded all of our expectations. Our dog is reactive and very protective of us. Upon meeting Stout, Taylor was extremely calm, didn’t reach for him, and respected his space. This spoke volumes to us. Upon pickup, Stout was glowing and happy as could be. We are the only ones who can clip his nails and she was even able to trim his dew claws. We were floored at this positive experience especially with this being Stout’s first time at a salon. We have always used mobile groomers because of his reactivity. Happy Dog has provided our dog a safe space to be groomed and we could not be more grateful to all of the staff, especially Taylor who made this possible. We are looking forward to our next groom! We have taken our dog a here few times to get groomed. We have had bad experiences on two recent occasions. The first was that I was told it would be about three hours until our pup was ready for pickup so I decided to go to Frederick on an appointment. I received a call less than two hours later that he was ready. It took me 35 minutes to get there and they charged me a late pickup fee. Outrageous. On the next grooming date I dropped off our pup for a bath and minor trim as normal. I received a call after an hour and a half that it had been too long of time between visits and they could only do a minor comb out with no bath. We were still charged a FULL grooming fee of $185 dollars. . It t is apparent the staff is extremely independent and could care less to maintain their customers. D

Dallas is amazing, wonderful, kind and talented. The first groomer to actually listen and not make my little dog look like a floof. I’ve had many issues with the front desk over the years, but Dallas is worth it.
