Our dog Cash developed progressive anxiety with reactive behavior when he was about 2 years old. Karen helped us to understand how to calm him, using multiple techniques that we found to be very effective. She takes a holistic approach, including evaluating nutrition, recommending different ways of responding to problematic behaviors, and a progressive "grade school" model of developing a skill set for your dog when he is faced with challenges and behavior triggers. Cash is doing much better now! She gives written handouts to help remind you about the lessons learned in training, and is available by email with any questions or concerns. We also boarded Cash with her when we were away. In contrast to a previous experience with another sitter, Cash did very well with her and had no setbacks

We reached out to Karen with Dreamy Skies for our dogs anxious, reactive behaviors. From the first consultation with Karen we’ve had her full support and encouragement through every step of our training process. She not only taught us the steps to train our dog but also shared her knowledge about dogs health and diet and how diet can be linked to behaviors. Karen not only has helped our pup but has helped us gain the confidence to train! We’ve learned so much from Karen and are grateful to have her as a trainer and as a friend! We recently were able to take our dog out in public and it was a great time for all. Everyone told us how great he was doing for being an anxious pup. Karen is always the first one I share our big wins with. She’ll always be your biggest cheerleader! We would recomm

We worked with Karen for about 6 months to help with our rescue pup who was struggling with some anxiety-induced aggression toward people and other dogs. Simply put, Karen's training and advice was life-changing for us. We better understand how to communicate with him and how/why he's reacting to different stimulus around him. She also never made us feel like Hammy was a lost cause - something we heard from some other trainers we met with. After working with Karen, our pup is calmer, nicer to live with, and - most importantly for us - we can finally have people over after a year of him not being able to tolerate anyone but us in our apartment. Would definitely recommend Dreamy Skies and Karen!

Karen is a miracle worker! Our dog is a rescue who had severe anxiety. We knew she needed more than just run of the mill big box store “training” to help her overcome the fear. Karen helped us understand what she needed even before the actual training started. This enabled us to change her environment and help her grow her confidence. This was so crucial! Our dog now walks on a leash, tells us when she needs to go out, coexists with our cats, doesn’t pee in the house, and has the confidence I was afraid she’d never develop. Without Karen, this would not have happened. Her love of dogs and deep understanding of their needs shines through every session. She has the flexibility and humor necessary to bring out the best in dogs. I honestly don’t know where we’d be without her.

We reached out to Karen in July 2021 after our 10 month old mini Aussie developed severe resource guarding issues that led to a bite of one of us. He also barked continuously on walks, had separation anxiety, and general fear of anything not familiar. We had an infant in the house and knew that the dog's current behavior could not continue. We were at our wit's end at what to do and not sure if we could keep him. We met with Karen and she immediately gave us hope that we could improve our dog's behavior in a lasting way. She changed the way we thought about our relationship with our dog and helped us to understand how to effectively communicate. When we started, we were a family where the dog was the center of the universe and by the end, we were the center of our dog's. The training
