Giving Tree Pet Resort & Grooming

I cannot express how absolutely beyond incredible all of the staff and the facility at Giving Tree Pet Resort is. It is honestly a miracle that a place like this exists. I am the owner of SIX German Shorthaired Pointer females and had an emergency situation where I had to come up to Virginia from Florida for a funeral. I was having difficulty finding anybody that would allow me to board all six of my dogs so I could attend this extremely important memorial and funeral for my precious family member. Mike 🩷🩷🩷 at Giving Tree was beyond the most generous, kind, caring and professional person I have ever dealt with in my life, when it comes to my dogs. We had a great experience with this pet resort. The staff is attentive. The facility is clean and well-maintained. We received regular updates during our pet’s 3 weeks stay with them . Our pet came home happy, relaxed. We truly appreciate the love and attention they provide and would absolutely recommend this place to other pet parents.

Lucy had a great day at Giving Tree - her first time ! The team was incredible - they recognized her as we walked in; took her back with her friend Pepper, and gave me a tour of their amazing facility for boarding and daycare. I watched dogs come in - pulling their owners to get inside rather than the owners dragging them in! All good signs. We plan to come back!! This is high touch / personalized dog pet care! After nearly two years as customers, we will not be returning. Our goldendoodle was booked for a Feet/Face/Fanny (FFF) appointment — not a full groom. We communicated this clearly three separate times and explicitly declined the groomer’s recommendation to shave her. Despite this, the groomer ignored our instructions and proceeded at their own discretion. After waiting nearly four hours to be serviced, our dog was returned with a shockingly unprofessional result: her head and random areas of her body were shaved down to the skin, and her rear was either burned by the clippers or cut during what appeared to be a rushed job. My foster dog has been going there for a few weeks now, on days that I have to go into the office. He seems to really enjoy it is definitely well tired out when he gets home. The staff is very kind and friendly and it's a very nice facility. They've worked well with him to help him get adapted to daycare life and even put up a sign to help me market him for his forever home. Would definitely recommend.
