Gaines Shoal Animal Clinic

Being new to the area I needed to find a veterinarian for my two furbabies. I was able to make a same day appointment and was extremely impressed with the way everyone treated me from check in to the vet’s assistant to the vet herself. All were pleasant and friendly assisting with my concerns and spent the time required to really see what was happening with my dog. They suggested different courses for treatment and made sure I would know exactly how much each treatment would cost. I was very happy and have already sent the records for my other dog so we can keep up with his immunizations.

I have been using this veterinarian clinic for about 6 years now. The staff members are always so helpful and friendly. I have been impressed with the knowledge and experience of the doctors here as well. Today I took our newly adopted kitten for his first wellness check. Everything went smoothly. I will definitely continue to take all my pets to Gaines Shoal Animal Clinic. 12/2025 EDIT: One of my senior cats passed away recently. When the clinic found out about his passing, they mailed me a sympathy card that all of the staff had signed. Also, the doctor, who had been taking care of my cat, called to offer her condolences. It meant so much to me in my time of grief to know how much they cared. I just can’t say enough about this place. They are top notch.

It was a great experience over all. I had just gotten my puppy and when I went in they explained everything to me very carefully so that I might understand. They helped calm my nerves with his kennel cough and the vet was extremely nice. The couple of times I have called in with a few questions, they answered them very nicely. I also appreciated the follow up call from them the next day, it eased my mind and showed that they really do care.

The staff was friendly, check-in easy. I brought my pup in for a suspected UTI. This was confirmed through testing. The Veterinarian was very nice. I liked her. The two areas I wasn’t thrilled with was a $300.00 bill at the end of the visit when I mentioned my surprise I added they should have given me an estimate, her reaction led me to believe they usually do give an estimate. I take part of the blame for not asking in advance. The next area was just cleanliness. The place itself is very nice. There was hair everywhere- even the table they put my dog on. I had a morning appointment so who knows maybe they just didn’t clean up from the day before? I’ve had pets for over 30 years and been to plenty of vets offices. They always are cleaning because if animals are there - they might be sick

Everyone at Gaine Shoal animal clinic has been amazing. We switched recently because my mother's vet is too far away and she's going to stop driving. They have been super compassionate and understanding and helping us getting set up and working with the whole family not just the dog. We all feel like we're going to be in great hands going forward
