Our family rescued Axel he was an Akita husky mix. He was 13 at the time we got him and he was a joy to have in the family. We had him for a year and a half and he passed away. We informed the rescue center of his passing and they paid for his cremation services. Then about 2 weeks later our family seemed incomplete and like something was missing. As a family we talked about it and we were all missing Axel. I called the center and Mrs. Teresa said "I understand and sometimes it help if you rescue another and that she thought she had the perfect companion for us". We went to the center and met Sampson AKA Sammy. She was right he filled the void that was missing. We still love and miss our Axel, but we are so blessed with our Sammy. Thank you so much.

Evelyn's Place bills itself as a dog rescue, but a visit is a starkly different reality. The atmosphere is more like a prison for dogs rather than a sanctuary. Dogs, many of whom have languished there for years, live in cramped, filthy kennels with little to no human interaction or outdoor exposure. It's a heartbreaking to know these animals are spending years of their lives confined in such dismal conditions. The kennels, which are rarely cleaned unless volunteers happen to show up, reek of neglect and despair. The dogs, whose only crime is needing a new home, are denied the basic right to socialization and adequate care. It's evident that the irresponsible owners of Evelyn's Place have no regard for the well-being of these creatures beyond a perfunctory existence. Adding insult to inju

What an amazing place and I'm not sure if she's the owner but Teresa really came through for us, we have two large dogs that were not part of the plan once we bought our new home but we didn't have the heart to get rid of them when they were puppies but then they got much larger and they started tearing up the inside of our home so we called Teresa for advice and she gave us a bunch of kennel panels for free and what a difference that made for our animals! We owe her a huge debt of gratitude, very kind woman and you can tell she really loves these animals. If you are ever in a position where you have to let your animal go please give her a call, she will find them a great home and she takes amazing care of them until they find new foster parents. Wonderful wonderful people 🙏🙏🙏

Excellent experience. I cannot say enough good things! We took my mother here to rescue a small dog and from the first communication I could tell they truly have the dogs best interest at heart. Then, upon meeting them...wow they dedicate their whole lives and hearts to these fur babies. I recommend this rescue to everyone.

This place is a prison for dogs who live for many years in kennels. Somewhere along the line the idea of “saving dogs from euthanasia” became imprisoning them! Go ahead and ask if you can walk through the kennels to meet all the dogs to find the best fit for you - you won’t be allowed! Why? Because they don’t want you to see their living conditions. You have to ask about a dog who’s photo you’ve already seen online when there’s hundreds more hidden in the building. There’s not enough workers at this place to market, care for or save all of these dogs; instead they live years - (some of them currently more than five years!) in a kennel that’s not even twice their size! I’ll never understand why someone would support this! I hate euthanasia, but for many of these dogs, it would have been a m
